INDOOR CAMP OUT

Mmmmm... hot dogs!

Kick The Can

Ready to make out secret delivery

In the get away car ... yes they are so cool!

Roasting marshmallows on the BBQ

Can I have "s'more"

Cozy in the tent!
I planned an indoor camp out for the kids and cousins and we had a great time! I love seeing Jaxyn and Hatcher get excited about things. First We had hot dogs and camping food, then we played kick the can, did some face paint with camo head bands, and delivered a tub of laughy taffy with a sign that said - Here is a little laugh to say happy fall y'all. The kids were so funny as they decided who to deliver to and then snuck around, rang the door bell and ran away to the get away car. I think they could have done it all night! We came home and roasted marshmallows on the BBQ and then got cozy in the tent I had set up inside. We watched a new kids movie, but the kids were wore out and only lasted a little bit till they were all piled on top of each other sound asleep. What a fun way to welcome fall!

Lemonade

There is something so charming about a small town. The other day I was getting a few things at the little market and the cutest boys had this stand set up selling lemonade. The kids and Kristen were excited to walk over and buy a cup, I'm so thankful for these little moments with the kids!

C is for Cowboy

I'm trying to have preschool time with Hatcher and get him started on his ABc's and 123's. I thought C would be a great letter to start with so we spent the day talking about C, playing cars, making cookies, coloring, and of course playing cowboys! At the end of the day I showed Hatcher the letter C he had colored and asked him, "What letter is this?" He responded, "B." Oh well, I'll keep trying.

Blackfoot Fair

We had a wonderful time with our good friends at the Blackfoot fair! Alx and her family meet us there and we watched her dad Skeeter in the rodeo finals! He did awesome, I'm so glad we were there to cheer him on! They spent the night and Jaxyn got to skip school to enjoy all the fun things! Of course Hatcher was in heaven with all the animal barns and cowboys around! I think that kid could live in a barn! I hate to see summer end and fall begin, but it was a good way to end the summer!

Two Front Theeth!

Jaxyn was so excited to lose her 2 front teeth! I guess this entry should be about her, but once again Hatcher stole her glory! She lost one and the tooth fairy brought her $3. She gave one of the dollars to Hatcher, she is too sweet. A few days later the 2nd tooth came out. She was getting it in this little tooth pillow and ready to put it under her pillow when Hatcher says, "I want to do that too." Jaxyn explained that you have to have lost a tooth to get a visit from the tooth fairy. Without hesitation Hatcher went and got a little wallet and came back and put it under his pillow. Very proud of him self he said, "me too!" How could the tooth fairy resist that! She left Jaxyn $2 and Hatcher $1 with a note that said "keep brushing you teeth." They were both thrilled in the morning!

Goodbye Teague

Teague is moving to Washington so we were so glad to have a little time to kiss on this sweet guy! We will sure miss you Teague, Tyson and Melissa!

Saying Goodbye

On last shot in front of the house..... so sad! Lunch out with Jax's friend Alx

On last walk through the empty house

We love you Maugers!
Hotel swimming

Look Out here comes Papa Silly!

I never thought leaving Wendell would be so hard! Thank goodness mom and dad were there to help me pack up and clean, I wouldn't have made it without them! Dad was so cute with the kids, playing for hours with Hatcher and his tractor and rocks, and being a monster trying to attack them in their card board box house in the garage! I was flooded with memories as I pulled out of the drive way, thinking of my tea stained walls Brooke did for me while I was in California, bringing Hatcher home, life flighting Hatcher, his first steps, Jaxyn's first day of Kindergarten, great neighbors, putting in the yard, it was all too much for my eyes and the tears started pouring! I love this house and all the good friends and memories we have in Wendell.

We were able to come back the next weekend to grab a few last things. We stayed in a hotel and the kids had their friends over for pizza out and then swimming at the pool. It was a great night but so hard to say goodbye. After we left Kase, Ty and Presley, Jax cried and cried. She told me she never new it would hurt so bad to leave her best friend. Kase shed some tears as we walked through the empty house as did Brooke and I , we will miss you all!

First day of Second Grade

I can't believe how fast time is flying! Jaxyn started her first day of second grade at Mt. View Elementary, the same school Randy went to! I pulled into the driveway after 10pm and the kids were already in bed. Vauna had watched them for me so we could finish the move from Wendell. Jaxyn had her outfit all laid out and was so excited to wear her new twinkle toe shoes! Probably not the outfit I would have picked out, but how could I suggest anything else! Grandma put her hair in lots of little braids, what a good sport! She has transitioned just fine and has already made some great new friends. She is growing up way to fast!

End of Summer Rodeo

I'm so proud of Jaxyn and her hard work this summer with rodeo! Things really stared clicking for her and she was really competing! She took 3rd in the roping in Buhl and got voted most improved cowgirl in the poles! At Gooding she did great and got 2nd in the goat tie, and took 4th on the poles! She won some purple bell boots, travel case, brush bag filled with brushes, and water bottle which she brings to school everyday! Thanks to the grandparents and Brooke and kids for coming and being her cheering section, that was great! Way to go sis, you make one cute little cowgirl! Her best bud Alx won the saddle in Gooding and Jaxyn was so proud of her, it was too cute! Thanks Alx for being such a good friend, we will sure miss you!

Last day of physical therapy

Before we moved, Hatcher had his last day of physical therapy! I can hardly believe how much he has progressed! I can remember the first time Teresa came out to the house and Hatcher couldn't even move his head to the left on his own! Two years of hard work paid off! It has been so emotional with the move, and reflecting on how far Hatcher has come! It was so hard to say goodbye to Teresa and our pediatrician Dr.Scott and all our favorite nurses that got so good at poking my little cowboy! I will never forget all that they have done for us, we sure love you all!
