Blackfoot Dance Competition

Jaxyn had her first dance competition of the year and did great! It is so fun to watch her perform, she loves it and really does a good job. She was in two numbers with her class and then did a solo. I also entered her into a photogenic contest and she won her age category. Her class numbers took 1st and she won top "Queen" dancer for her solo "Cooties." Way to go Jax. Hatcher was so excited about the trophy and crown and kept saying, "this is my congratulations." The best part of the day though was watching Kristen dance. All of the family was there to cheer on the girls and we went crazy when Kristen stepped onto the floor. She was so cute and did such a great job. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Memorizing!

Jaxyn has set some goals she would like to meet before she turns 8 and gets baptized. One of them is memorizing all 13 Articles of Faith and she has done it! We all joined her and even papa and grandma did it with us. When we memorized one we got to put our name by that number on this big poster. What a great accomplishment sis, we are so proud of you!

Miniature Thanksgiving

Even a miniature wish bone!

This year I decided to have a miniature Thanksgiving a few weeks before to get us in the mood! It was so much fun to plan and cook for this! We had little cornish game hens, mini corn, mini cans of pop, baby carrots, tiny little rolls, mandrin oranges, and mini baked potatos. Papa Ralph prepared a fun Thanksgiving history FHE lesson and then we had miniature pumpkin pies for dessert! I think we will make this a yearly tradition.

Sunday, November 14, 2010

The other night at family home evening I asked Papa if he would do a lesson on the history of the first Thanksgiving. Jaxyn says very serious, "Oh, I already know a lot about the Indians and leprechauns." I wanted to die laughing but held it together and asked if she meant Pilgrims. Too funny sis.

Hatcher and I were snuggling before bed the other night when he took my face in his hands and said, "Mama, I don't want you to dead." I told him that I didn't want to be dead either, and he says, "me neither, I don't like people to be dead." Hatcher, you have been full of new words and are talking so well, I love every minute.

Hatcher loves his cousins Kaden and Krue! The boys were dressing up and playing rodeo with Hatcher who was in 7th heaven! I love to see Hatcher being such a normal little boy, and have to pinch myself that he is doing so well. Thanks boys for being so good to him, he sure loves you!

BYU Ballet

BYU Ballet came and put on a cute princess performance in Marsh Valley. The little girls got to come dressed like princesses, meet the ballerinas, have a treat with strawberry milk, dance on stage with the real ballerinas and enjoy a fun show with mom and grandma! I love doing these fun things with Jaxyn, I hate to see her growing up so fast, but enjoy all the big girl things we are getting to do together!

Potty Training!

Happy day! Hatcher is finally potty training. I was really hoping we could get it done before he turned 3 and we did! Thanks to baby Chloe! We went to Twin Falls for a little get away and got to watch my friend kenz's baby. She is just too cute and even though we didn't have her very long, we got to change a diaper. She had the same polk a dot diapers Hatcher wears and it was like a light bulb moment. He wanted to go potty right then and did it for the first time on the toilet. He kept saying, "I'm not a little baby hu mama?" ever since then he has been potty training and just about has it down! Way to go bud, I'm so excited! I love that he always is playing toys on the potty and just seeing his itty bitty little bum in those undies is just too dang cute! Sorry bud for posting this I just couldn't resists!
