Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome

Our little cowboy has a big fight ahead of him. Last night Hatcher's surgeon had to go in and try to fix his lungs, they are very sick. Not able to remove all of the fluid Hatcher had to be put on the ecmo machine, which is functioning as his heart and lungs. His chest is still open, Randy took a picture with his phone, but it's just too much for mama to take. He has had some alert moments, which they do not want him to have, but he reached for me and mouthed the words mama and ouch. Tears oh tears, but it gave me hope that my little Hatcher is still in there somewhere. Our sweet boy needs a miracle .... thank you to all who have kept us in your prayers ... we can feel all of your support.

  2. Hey guys - I've spent most of the evening reading your blog for the first time. I laughed at the cute comments made by the kids and cried too because of how sweet they both are. I've been praying all day and wishing the best for your little "cowboy." I hope "his Jaxyn" is doing okay too. Here's sending you all hugs and prayers from Ryon, Michelle and Caden Butterfield

  11. Britt, we were in your ward in Twin like five years ago. Kyle sees Randy occasionally, and I think Randy must have given him your blog address. Today is the first time I've been on here, but I have loved reading through your posts and getting to know a little about your sweet family. Jaxyn and Hatcher are adorable! You definitely have our prayers. We truly hope the very best for your family. When you get a minute, email me and I'll send you an invite to our blog (it's private). mcgarryfam@yahoo.com

  12. Hi, you don't know us, but we are a fellow Idaho heart family and we share a mutual cousin (Bethany Walls Webber). Beth told us about Hatcher's hard time right now and my heart just breaks for you guys! My son Grant is two and we are approaching his Fontan in 6 weeks. Please know that we will be praying with all our hearts for your family and we pray that ECMO will allow his heart time to rest and recover a little bit from all of this trauma. We pray that Hatcher will be able to have his pain managed so he can comfortable rest through all of this as well.

    Hugs!
Alli, mom to Grant (HLHS, TGA, TAPVR, heterotaxy, asplenia)
